The Breakable Cap is designed as a protective cover for female threaded connections. It is similar to the Easy Off Cap in that it will fit any 2½" connection regardless of thread type. The breakable cap is different, however, in that it requires pin lugs to be held in place. Also, rather than being twisted off, it's designed to be struck with a spanner wrench and broken off. This saves time, as a fire fighter is more quickly able to attach a hose to the connection. |
