Cap and Chain

Caps and Chains are used for a variety of purposes, everything from capping off a fire hose valve to capping a pump test connection outlet.  The cap's primary purpose is to prevent debris from entering an opening.

Rack Nipple

A standard component in a hose rack assembly, the rack nipple is used to connect the rack hose to the angle valve.  It also acts as a support for the actual hose rack.

Fog Nozzle

The Fog Nozzle attaches to the end of the hose.  Its spray pattern can vary from full fog to straight stream to complete shut off with a simple twist.

Reducer

Reducers are normally used to attach a standard 1½" rack hose to a 2½" rack nipple and hose rack assembly.  Reducers are also used on 2½" angle hose valves to convert to 1½" thread.

Plug and Chain

Plugs and Chains are primarily used to plug the inlet of a fire department connection.  The main purpose is to prevent debris from entering the opening.

Escutcheon Plate (Round, Single Hole)

Round single hole escutcheon plates serve two main purposes.  One is to identify the type of connection (auto sprinkler, pump test, etc.).  The other is purely decorative - the escutcheon plate provides a clean finished look to a fire department connection.  Lettering options are below:

  • Standpipe
  • Auto Sprinkler
  • Standpipe & Auto Sprinkler
  • Pump Test Connection
  • Dry Standpipe
  • Wall Hydrant

Escutcheon Plate (Rectangular / Square, Multi Hole)

Rectangular multi hole escutcheon plates serve two main purposes, similar to round escutcheon plates.

  • Hydrant

Male Hex Adapter

These male hex adapters are similar to standard male adapters.  However, their wider hex allows them to be used with escutcheon plates as components in single wall hydrant connections, as well as larger flush mount pump test connections.  The hex adapter can also serve as a stand alone adapter if desired.

Female Swivel Snoot

Female swivel snoots, while similar to standard female swivel adapters, are designed with a wider hex.  This wider hex allows the snoot to be used with various types of escutcheon plates as components in single and flush mount fire department connections.  Female swivel snoots can be used as stand alone adapters if desired.

Sleeves

Sleeves are used purely for cosmetic purposes.  They are designed to be used with free standing storz and fire department connections.  The sleeve works to conceal the exposed vertical pipe on the free standing connection.  All of our sleeves are 18" long.  They may be cut and/or welded together in the field to produce the desired length.
